In Clinical Research we are in a unique situation where we have to have backups cover us in case either the site or sponsor or CRO for that matter may have questions. We have seen it time and time again when there is an issue that pops up unfortunately and the person you need is Out of the Office and isn't responding to emails. In the Clinical Research space there are backups when study team members are taking PTO and this helps to cut down on all the confusion.
